Maurytania Lagunas has been an integral part of Conagra Brands for nearly a decade, beginning her journey in the Operations Rotational Development Program. During this time, she gained invaluable experience in reliability tools, production line efficiency improvements, and capital project startups. Her career progressed as she took on the role of a Capital Project Engineer, managing a portfolio worth $3.6 million, focusing on aseptic process units, packaging, cost savings, and infrastructure capital projects.
Discovering a keen interest in utilities and infrastructure projects, Maurytania transitioned to a Senior Utilities Engineer technical role. In this capacity, she provided expert technical support to over 30 industrial food manufacturing sites across the U.S. and three international locations. Her expertise spanned industrial utility systems, including boilers, compressed air, high-pressure steam distribution and specialties, potable water treatment, and wastewater treatment.
Currently, as a Principal Engineer, Maurytania supports energy efficiency initiatives at the capital project level for all Conagra sites. She leads the sustainability and energy capital program aimed at lowering greenhouse gas emissions, overseeing a $10 million annual program. Her dedication to sustainability and technical excellence continues to drive Conagra’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
Maurytania holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, bringing a strong educational foundation to her impactful work at Conagra Brands.
